These dumbbell standards include the weight of the bar normally 2 kg 4 4 lb. This is a fantastic core exercise and is often used for overcoming a lagging side correcting dominance. To complete the exercise simply lower the weights to the ground in controlled drop fashion.
Dumbbell strength standards are based on the weight of each dumbbell not the weight of two added together. Take advantage of that and be powerful and strong firing upwards on every rep. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions. Start by performing dumbbell squeeze presses and then transition directly to dumbbell floor presses when you fatigue.
